Inventory Collector Agent not installing
I am doing a rather large deployment of OMSA to various Dell servers (2950, R510, R720, etc) with both Windows Server 2008 and 2003 (so both OMSA 7.1 and 7.2)We have seen a small number of instances...

Yeah, the TS tool should already be on your OME desktop.Or wireshark can be downloaded and installed. You just want to confirm the SNMP traffic is ok outside of OME.thxRob

Ha, yeah, for sure...that is it. OMNM uses SNMP. So they need to be on a separate VM or box. You might be able to disable SNMP for OMNM, but I'm not sure about that.Rob

Good idea for troubleshooting. But I'm not sure a SNMP restart will send a trap.1. Point the TS tool and run the SNMP at one of the boxes running OMSA. Be sure the result set includes the version of...

Setup one was good. I had done that earlier. Step two no trap. I messed with the temp sensor and got it to show warning. No trap. What about the probing?

Are you trying to deploy OMSA from OME ?Do you see the issue even if OMSA is deployed manually on a single end node ? Does it happen on all the end nodes or only few systems ?Thanks,Raj Shresta

UDP 161 is used by SNMP service and UDP 162 is for SNMPTrap service. If I recall, for receiving traps, OME and OMNM cannot co-exist on the same system. One of them will subscribe to SNMPTrap service or...
